Los Bilingual Writers is a non-profit literary organization which receives money from the City of
San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture and other generous funding sources for its Bilingual Intergenerational Literary Project which serves the under-served neighborhoods of San Diego, California. The project mentors young creative writers, encourages senior citizens to tell their histories and tells the stories of the community.
Literary events celebrated the release of their works, as well as those of the Los Escritores,
published in three anthologies.
Los Bilingual Writers has been a Community Partner with the San Diego Latino Film Festival, sponsoring
writing workshops led by Hollywood directors; participating in the Arts and Culture Fest, Fiesta Del Sol Street Fair, Chicano Park Day, Latino Conversational Series at San Diego State University, Poets/Writers Roundtable and theTijuana Book Fair in Tijuana, Mexico. In addition, Los Bilingual Writers partners with the San Diego Museum of Art.
